We want to explicitly acknowledge a few projects and communities that shaped openboa.
  • Claude, for the reminder that agent systems become more useful when they are shaped as coherent runtimes rather than as a pile of isolated features.
  • OpenAI, for the perspective that agent work should feel concrete, inspectable, and usable to real developers.
  • OpenClaw, for making agent-runtime boundaries feel tangible and practical.
  • Apache Kafka, for durable-log and replay thinking that helped sharpen the importance of explicit truth and recoverability.
  • Kubernetes and the broader cloud-native ecosystem, for a systems mindset centered on reconciliation, scopes, bindings, and policy.
openboa is its own system, but it learned a great deal from these projects and from the wider open-source agent and distributed systems communities.
